Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager in the Atlanta, GA area to lead construction project management for new data center builds and capital projects. You will own scope, quality, schedule, and budget while interfacing with general contractors and internal teams to ensure reliable, scalable data center infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have experience in large-scale data center environments, strong knowledge of codes and regulations, and certifications such as

Qualifications

• Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers or critical infrastructure or large-scale mechanical and electrical plants.
• Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations with deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data centers.

Responsibilities

• Construction project management and oversight of construction activities for new builds or capital projects.
• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and RFPs.
• Financial analysis of construction.
• Quality control and documentation management for construction.
• Report key construction metrics to team and management.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Define data center system-level architecture and equipment requirements.
