Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to drive the build of leading-edge data centers in the Atlanta area. You will be the owner's representative on site, coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security and Commissioning teams to deliver complex electrical and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Knowledge of governing building codes and regulations including Life Safety, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
• Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings for all disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scopes and RFQ/Proposal documents.
• Perform financial analysis of construction projects.
• Manage projects to increase data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centers.
• Manage construction documents including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure quality control and report key construction metrics.
• Lead teams and coordinate with internal and external partners.
