Job summary

New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) is seeking a Data Analyst in New York, NY to analyze, visualize, and report data for the Office of Resilient Homes and Communities. The role combines GIS with policy research, supporting reporting, decision making, and program quality across the agency.

You will maintain spatial and quantitative databases, update the DRGR system, and produce maps, dashboards, and reports under the Director of Research and Data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Statistics, CS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, update, and maintenance of performance reports, dashboards, and ad hoc data analyses.
• Maintain Esri ArcGIS software/ArcGIS Online platforms and create maps/graphs for stakeholders.
• Input, track, and verify program data in internal systems and DRGR system.
• Document data methodologies and SOPs for federal reporting; perform data cleaning and quality control.
• Provide analytical support for evaluating RHC programs’ impact on NY residents.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to share and package data for reporting.
