Job summary

Temporal Technologies in Dallas, TX seeks a Solutions Architect to be the primary customer-facing technical leader within the Majors team (Central). You’ll guide prospects and customers on Temporal’s platform and cloud service, showcasing technical advantages and helping production teams expand applications.

You’ll collaborate with Sales to develop account plans, own technical relationships with decision-makers, and create reusable assets and demonstrations for broader use.

Qualifications

• Reside within Dallas, Texas (United States).
• Exceptional technical communication across staff-level engineer whiteboard to VP/CTO narrative.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, design principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in building prototypes and providing design, development, build and deployment guidance using Java, Golang, Python, C#, TypeScript, Ruby or Rust.
• Operational considerations in production environments: security, reliability, performance, cost and operations.
• Ability to provide architectural guidance on application patterns and platform architectures.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider.
• Ability to serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives for scoping and sizing opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with prospects to determine if their applications fit Temporal’s platform well.
• Educate customers on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service.
• Position Temporal as an enterprise development standard against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
• Foster an environment within customer engineering organizations to increase adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute account plans across new opportunities and expansion, focusing on long-term customer success.
• Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers within customer organizations to ensure they leverage Temporal’s capabilities.
• Create reusable technical assets, reference architectures, playbooks, and demos for other Solution Architects.
• Travel expected to be 25-50%
