Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA, Inc. in Franklin, WI seeks a Production Supervisor for a new 340,000 square foot conversion facility opening in 2023.

The role partners with plant management to maximize productivity, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and optimize production through ERP/SAP and CI methods. Qualified candidates typically have 1–3 years of supervisory experience in food packaging, an Associate's degree or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a food packaging environment preferred.
• Associate's degree in Operations Management or equivalent experience.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
• Proficient with ERP SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team leadership with cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of cost containment and budgeting principles.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor supervised staff to maximize productivity in the plant.
• Ensure procedures for production efficiency, product quality, employee safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Inspect products and adjust machines to meet specifications.
• Coordinate production schedules and estimate labor requirements for runs.
• Enter production data in ERP and report results, OEE, and downtime.
• Maintain production/packaging records and sanitation lists.
• Coordinate training and monitor performance of staff.
• Suggest improvements to methods, equipment, and quality.
