Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee plant staff, ensure adherence to GMPs, safety, and quality standards, and coordinate production schedules.

You will train and guide a team, drive process improvements, and maintain thorough production records in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience in food packaging, an Associate degree in Operations Management (or equivalent), and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
• One to three years of supervisory experience in a food packaging environment preferred.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
• Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on deficiencies.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
• Ability to select, lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage and retain a team of employees.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity in the plant.
• Ensure procedures for production efficiency, quality, and safety are followed.
• Inspect products for conformance to specifications and adjust machines.
• Coordinate production schedules and estimate worker hours.
• Train and supervise employees; enforce policies and safety measures.
• Maintain production records and paperwork.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities across departments.
• Support HR with disciplinary actions and coaching as needed.
• Promote safety programs to reduce incidents.
• Oversee policy enforcement and continuous improvement in production methods.
