Job summary

The Department of Transportation in New York City is seeking two Project Coordinators to support the planning, design, and delivery of capital bicycle and micromobility projects across the five boroughs.

You will work under senior staff to manage scope, schedule, budget, consultant management, and coordination with DOT divisions and partner agencies, ensuring high-quality cycling facilities are included in capital projects citywide.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transportation planning, roadway geometric design, complete streets, and bicycle and micromobility planning principles.
• Experience with capital project development and public infrastructure projects.
• Experience reviewing engineering plans and using survey data in project development.
• Knowledge of bicycle facility design principles and standards (MUTCD, AASHTO, NACTO, ADA).
• Experience with ArcGIS or GIS software for spatial analysis, mapping, data visualization.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality technical work.
• Preference for cycling enthusiasts and NYC cycling environment; NY driver license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and implementation of capital bicycle and micromobility projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and grant applications.
• Review roadway reconstruction and other projects for cycling improvements.
• Track project schedules, milestones, and design comments.
