Job summary

The Cycling & Micromobility Unit of the Department of Transportation seeks two Project Design Innovation Coordinators to support the design and development of construction-ready bicycle infrastructure across all five boroughs.

Under supervision of senior staff, the Project Design Innovation Coordinators will support the development of innovative, sustainable bicycle infrastructure projects in collaboration with engineers, planners, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in city planning or related field.
• Two years of satisfactory full-time city planning experience.
• Familiarity with multimodal street design and bicycle infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support development of construction-ready bicycle infrastructure plans across five boroughs.
• Conduct research, analysis, and design with engineers, planners and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and design drawings for decision-making.
• Coordinate with DOT units, agencies, and community stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Assist with public outreach, community Board presentations and responses to inquiries.
