Job summary

Floor & Decor in Portland, ME seeks an Inventory Control professional to safeguard the store’s stock accuracy and integrity. You will perform daily cycle counts, analyze POS data, and resolve discrepancies to maintain exact inventory levels across departments.

The role requires detail-oriented, organized individuals with strong customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment. Opportunities for growth and training are available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of inventory control experience in a big box retail environment or equivalent
• POS analysis and reporting experience
• Business analysis experience is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Follow the daily cycle count and category review calendar
• Research inventory discrepancies and adjust in the inventory system
• Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy
• Report tagging or SKU discrepancies to department managers
• Audit the Inventory Control SOP and related processes
• Audit incoming/outgoing trucks and RTVs per SOP
• Ensure security of the facility and resolve issues with CEM/Operations Manager
• Assist Operations Manager during physical inventory periods
