Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture. You will collaborate with senior leadership to align security with business objectives and oversee security controls across on‑prem and cloud environments.

The role requires 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in leadership, deep knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS, and experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, and data security.
• Architect and implement security controls for on‑premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments for technologies, systems, and software.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework of policies and standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to define strategy, risk appetite, and incident response.
• Oversee integration of security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management).
• Ensure compliance with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, CCPA, and related regulations.
• Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing with internal teams and third parties.
• Establish incident response plans and lead post‑mortem evaluations.
• Advise on security across IT, network, and development teams; mentor engineers.
