Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will lead risk assessments, set governance, and guide incident response while collaborating with executives and IT teams. The role demands 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in leadership, strong frameworks knowledge, and hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and cloud security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in leadership or as a cybersecurity architect.
• Experience with security architecture design in enterprise environments (network, cloud, data, endpoint).
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS) and applying them in large organizations.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (CCPA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, encryption).
• Proficiency in cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevSecOps integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, identity, access management, and data protection with compliance in mind.
• Oversee security controls for on‑prem and cloud infrastructures with defense-in-depth principles.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, and standards for cybersecurity across the organization.
