Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line seeks a Cybersecurity Architect to design and maintain the organization's security architecture across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will lead risk assessments, implement controls, and develop governance aligned with NIST/ISO, while guiding incident response and third‑party risk programs.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to shape strategy, mentor engineers, and drive security initiatives across a 260+ service‑center network and logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field; master's preferred.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 in leadership or architecture.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and enterprise security design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of a comprehensive security architecture aligned to OD business goals.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, IAM, and data protection.
• Implement security controls for on‑prem and cloud; ensure defense‑in‑depth.
• Perform risk assessments and develop governance, policies, and standards.
• Collaborate with executives on cybersecurity strategy and incident response.
