Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and sustain our security architecture across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will lead risk assessments, governance, and incident response while shaping strategy with senior leadership.

The role requires 10+ years in cybersecurity, 5+ in leadership, and strong experience with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS, SIEM, and vulnerability programs. OD offers extensive benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced leadership roles.
• Minimum 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in leadership or architect roles.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, endpoints, IAM, and data protection.
• Oversee security controls on prem and in the cloud with defense‑in‑depth.
• Conduct risk assessments for new technologies and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity governance framework and incident response plan.
• Collaborate with executives to define risk appetite and security strategy.
• Lead vulnerability management and third‑party risk programs.
• Ensure compliance with CCPA, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS and related standards.
