Job summary

Amentum is seeking skilled Instructional Content Specialists to support mission-critical training programs. You will gather, validate, and transform technical content into course material and assessments, ensuring alignment with objectives and security controls.

You will collaborate with Instructional Designers and Graphics teams to ensure labs, procedures, and demonstrations accurately reflect tool behavior and cyber-tradecraft. TS/SCI preferred for sensitive content.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cyber/IT foundation sufficient to build/troubleshoot technical training; instructional-design, LMS, or curriculum experience alone is insufficient.
• Working proficiency in at least one Section 2 specialty; broad mastery is not required.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar problems using evidence, read/modify/write scripts or code, and reason through execution logic and system interactions.
• Ability to explain behavior and convert it into accurate labs/procedures/demonstrations/practical’s; foundational understanding of OS, network, virtualization, cyber-tradecraft interactions.
• Follow technical standards, accept review, and meet contract/clearance/education/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gather and validate raw content for courses; document sources for review.
• Review storyboards and provide technical accuracy comments and disposition inputs.
• Draft/update technical narratives, procedures, and lab/exercise instructions using government-approved templates/tools.
• Provide SME clarification to ISD and Graphic Artists to reflect technical intent.
• Assist in drafting/updating assessment questions and rubrics; avoid providing answer keys.
• Coordinate updated content to Configuration Management repositories and support release notes.
