Job summary

Amentum seeks a Level 1 Content Developer to gather, validate, and update mission/technical content for training courses. You will provide SME inputs to determine testing alignment and ensure psychometric validity aligns with course objectives; you will work under Instructional Designers and senior staff.

The role involves researching cyber content, drafting procedures and labs, coordinating with CM repositories, and supporting assessment materials.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cyber/IT foundation to build and troubleshoot training content.
• Working proficiency in at least one Section 2 specialty.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar problems using evidence rather than trial-and-error.
• Ability to explain behavior and translate it into labs/procedures/demonstrations/practical’s.
• Follow technical standards and meet CD1 contract/clearance/education/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gather and validate raw content for courses; document sources/references.
• Review storyboards for technical accuracy comments and disposition inputs.
• Draft/update technical narratives, procedures, labs, and exercises using Government-approved templates/tools.
• Provide SME clarification to Instructional Designers and Graphic Artists to ensure content reflects technical intent.
• Assist in drafting or updating assessment questions/items and rubrics; ensure materials have no answer keys.
• Coordinate submission of updated content to CM repositories and support versioning/release notes.
• Research assigned cyber content; build/configure/modify systems, VMs, networks, scripts and artifacts.
• Draft/update procedures, labs, demonstrations, and assessment components to team standards.
• Reproduce expected behavior and troubleshoot using logs, pcaps, and artifacts.
• Document dependencies, assumptions, edge cases, and observable artifacts affecting learners.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cyber Engineering, Information Systems/IT, Education/Instructional Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
