Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist in Concord, NC to join the Surgery Department. The role involves 4 ten-hour shifts per week with 1–2 weekly call shifts and occasional weekend call coverage.

You will support the RN circulator, prepare patient and instruments, and ensure sterile practices across cases. Requirements include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, 5 years OR experience, NBSTSA/NCCT certification, and CVOR experience is highly

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or approved military Surgical Technology/Operating Room Specialist training.
• 5 years of operating room experience as a surgical technologist.
• Current certification through NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Meets ST III qualifications of Surgical Tech Ladder.
• CVOR experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique and applies it throughout procedures.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments before, during and after surgery.
• Assists RN circulator in patient prep, instrument setup, and room turnover.
• Performs duties per department policies and procedures.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and ensures accurate charge documentation.
• Documents sterilization activities and participates in performance improvement.
