Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or military training equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years Cardiovascular OR experience required.
• Current certification preferred; ST II meets qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist RN circulator with patient prep, room setup, instrument assembly and turnover.
• Monitor sterilization processes and document charges; ensure aseptic technique is maintained.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and staff education as needed.
• Serve as a clinical resource and contribute to policy/procedure development.
