Job summary

UAB Medicine’s CVOR nursing team in Vestavia Hills, AL is seeking an experienced RN to provide surgical patient care. Responsibilities include scrub and circulating roles, assisting surgeons, preparing ORs, and ensuring patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

Eligible positions offer strong benefits and a collaborative environment within a leading health system. Licensed RNs with BLS/ACLS and Alabama licensure are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama RN license in good standing.
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions including instrument selection and handling during procedures.
• Perform circulating functions including monitoring patient condition and overall nursing care before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assist operating physician with hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure and patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
