Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the surgical environment, with focus on cardiac, electrophysiology, and related procedures.

You will communicate with physicians about patient conditions, assist with equipment and supplies, and monitor patients during procedures while supporting CQI initiatives.

Qualifications

• AR RN licensure required.
• Minimum 3 years of fast-paced cardiac, electrophysiology, and specials experience.
• ACLS and CPR certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the surgical environment.
• Communicate with physicians about patient conditions and needs.
• Assist with equipment, supplies, and room readiness for procedures.
• Monitor and position patients during procedures and support CQI activities.

Provides direct patient care to all patient populations; excluding pediatrics. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the EP, Specials, and Cardiac Cath Lab team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Registered Nurse, BSN preferred but not required.
• Licensure: Arkansas Registered Nurse
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years fast paced cardiac, specials, and electrophysiology experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, CPR
