Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced RN for direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiac and electrophysiology setting. Coordinates with physicians and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Arkansas RN licensure is required or in progress; BSN preferred. ACLS/CPR certification is expected, with a strong focus on CQI and continuous improvement within a collaborative Mercy team.

Qualifications

• Arkansas RN licensure required.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of fast-paced cardiac, specials, and electrophysiology experience.
• ACLS and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to all adult populations in the surgical environment.
• Communicate continuously with physicians about patient condition.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
• Assess procedure rooms for equipment readiness and safety.
• Monitor and assist patients during procedures; participate in CQI activities.

Communicates with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the EP, Specials, and Cardiac Cath Lab team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
