Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a high-paced cardiac, EP, and electrophysiology environment. The role includes continuous communication with physicians, assisting with equipment and room readiness, and ensuring patient safety during procedures.

Required are an Arkansas RN license, 3+ years in cardiac/EP, and ACLS/CPR certifications. BSN is preferred but not required; join a team focused on excellence in care and CQI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas RN license required.
• Minimum of 3 years fast-paced cardiac, EP, and electrophysiology experience.
• ACLS and CPR certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to all populations in the cardiac/EP surgical environment.
• Communicate continuously with physicians about patient condition.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory for procedure rooms.
• Assess procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness and obtain supplies for cases.
• Monitor and assist patient during procedures and participate in CQI activities.

Provides direct patient care to all patient populations; excluding pediatrics. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the EP, Specials, and Cardiac Cath Lab team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Registered Nurse, BSN preferred but not required.
Licensure: Arkansas Registered Nurse
Experience: Minimum of 3 years fast paced cardiac, specials, and electrophysiology experience.
Certifications: ACLS, CPR
