Job summary

Grand Traverse Container Inc. is seeking a dedicated customer service/order entry professional to maintain strong customer relations, process orders, and coordinate with sales, production and shipping.

The role requires attention to forecast accuracy and timely communication of prices, dates and delays. The ideal candidate will handle quotes, prepare specs, and align orders with ISO procedures while maintaining meticulous records and providing support across teams in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or three-year relevant customer service experience.
• Ability to read and interpret design specs and ISO documents.
• Proficiency with MS Office and other computer software.
• Ability to calculate figures, percentages, costs.
• Strong communication and organization required.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed specs and print cards for parts according to ISO procedures.
• Create or obtain quotes as needed.
• Process and distribute orders received from customers via phone, fax, and email or company personnel.
• Make changes to or cancel orders/backorders and communicates changes to the team.
• Inform customers of prices, shipping date, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer.
• Receive, investigate and respond to all customer inquiries regarding shipments, products and complaints by implementing ISO procedures.
• Create purchase orders for necessary materials.
• Compile statistics and prepare various reports for management.
• Maintain customer files.
• Assist with answering house phones as needed.
