Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a logistics professional to coordinate ocean and air shipments, liaise with customers and overseas offices, and manage delivery milestones for domestic and international freight.

You will maintain SOPs, track shipment timelines, support billing and reporting, and ensure accurate documentation across multiple systems. 3–5 years of logistics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding or related operations.
• Strong shipment tracking, delivery coordination and logistics documentation.
• Ability to manage files from A to Z with accuracy and urgency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers and teams.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Liaise directly with customers and overseas offices to assess needs, resolve shipment questions, and provide timely customer service follow-up.
• Manage and track ocean and air shipments from origin to destination while keeping customers and overseas teams informed.
• Coordinate arrival processes, delivery setup, and shipment milestones for domestic and international freight.
• Maintain customer standard operating procedures, shipment timelines, and EDI customer updates.
• Support management with customer reporting, cost tracking, documentation, and operational follow-up.
• Perform billing functions and handle assigned files from A to Z with a high level of accuracy.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation: $25 to $30 per hour.
• Employment type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage ocean and air shipment coordination from origin to destination.
• Maintain customer SOPs, shipment milestones, timelines, and service expectations.
• Coordinate customer communication, overseas office follow-up, billing, reporting, and file management.
• Track costs, update spreadsheets, and work across multiple systems with accuracy.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, import/export administration, or a related operations role.
• Strong understanding of shipment tracking, delivery coordination, customer service, and logistics documentation.
• Ability to manage files from A to Z with accuracy, urgency, and strong follow-through.
• Comfortable working in multiple screens, systems, and spreadsheets while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer, vendor, overseas office, and internal team interaction.
• Ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks and respond promptly to service agreements and operational requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills, professionalism, and commitment to reliable customer service.
