Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Customer Account Specialist to be the primary contact for external and internal customers. You will manage orders, negotiate prices, and ensure on-time delivery aligned with customer needs.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and familiarity with MS Office and business systems. Interaction with sales, operations, and finance will be routine to guarantee accuracy and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education preferred.
• High school diploma required; related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution operations or related product knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages customer orders, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or other channels.
• Negotiates pricing, delivery terms, and shipping details to satisfy customers while protecting margins.
• Coordinates with purchasing and suppliers to fill non-stock products and ensure timely delivery.
• Provides product and technical information, price quotes, and order/shipment status updates to customers.
• Acts as the main liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure satisfaction.
• Identifies opportunities to upsell or offer alternatives when preferred products are unavailable.
