Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a full-time Customer Service Representative to join our team at our Burbank Branch. Under general supervision, but in line with established policies and procedures, performs basic to moderately complex banking transactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a banking environment.
• 1 year in customer service and cash handling in a customer facing role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team.
• Knowledge of bank deposit products and services.
• Ability to understand customer loan requests and referrals.
• Ability to understand customer requests for additional services and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine teller transactions and works directly with clients, including deposits, withdrawals, checks and transfers.
• Provides exemplary customer service in person and over the phone and informs customers about products and services.
• Responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash supply and ensuring cash-handling compliance.
• Gathers data and processes reports to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory programs; travel 0-10%.
