Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our in-person team. This on-site role handles basic to moderately complex banking transactions with accuracy and care, delivering high levels of service and referrals for other products.

Responsibilities include processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, and balance verification, while maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• 1 year experience in a banking environment with basic knowledge of bank deposit products and services preferred.
• 1 year in customer service and cash handling experience in a customer facing role required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as a team member.
• Ability to make decisions using information available.
• Basic knowledge of Bank deposit products and services.
• Ability to understand customer loan requests and make appropriate referrals.

Responsibilities

• Process routine teller transactions accurately and securely.
• Provide exemplary customer service in person and by phone.
• Balance cash and follow cash handling policies; monitor for red flags.
• Assist customers with account reconcilement, statements, and checks.
