Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in various store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) can be helpful.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze basic financial information.
• Experience teaching suggestive selling and mentoring team members.
• Committed to safe work environment and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Manage P&L, drive sales and minimize shrink.
• Ensure training completion and proper job performance.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation.
• Promote Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and operations.
