Recology Ashland Sanitary Service Inc. is hiring a Customer Service Specialist 1 to provide courteous service by phone and in person for routine issues at the Ashland location.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, handling inquiries on collections, rates, billing, and account status while maintaining records and handling related clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, up to 2 years of related experience, and a willingness to participate in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone or greets customers at counter.
• Provides information about collections, rates, billing, and account status promptly.
• Resolves complaints through a combination of telephone service, data entry, billing, balancing and reconciling payments.
• Maintains records, prepares reports and performs related clerical duties.
• Expedites communications between customers and staff to coordinate services and account status.
• Participates in training related to customer service processes and safety.
• Handles special calls including escrow, bankruptcies, delinquent accounts by phone.
• Other duties as assigned
