Job summary

Recology in Fortuna, California seeks a Customer Service Representative I to provide courteous service by phone and in person for straightforward issues. You will answer calls, explain billing, and help customers understand account status.

Under supervision you will enter data, generate reports, and coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely service. The role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and a commitment to customer satisfaction within an eco-friendly company.

Qualifications

• Six months related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone or greet customers at counter.
• Provide information about collections, rates, billing, and account status promptly and correctly.
• Address customer questions and resolve complaints through a combination of telephone service, data entry, billing, balancing and reconciling payments.
• Maintain records, prepare requested reports and perform related clerical duties.
• Expedite communications and services between customers and coworkers verbally or through written communications to coordinate services, records, and account status.
• Participate in training related to customer service work processes, procedures, skills and safety.
