Job summary

S and G stores is seeking a dedicated team member to support the store manager and help run daily operations, ensuring compliance with laws and policies while maximizing sales and protecting assets.

The role focuses on delivering strong customer service, upholding merchandising standards, and accurately handling cash and card transactions in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail experience or customer service experience required.
• Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service leadership to all customers.
• Acknowledge and greet customers entering the store.
• Ensure company policies are followed.
• Promote and maintain a clean, organized store appearance inside and out.
• Process cash and card transactions accurately and with integrity.
• Ensure merchandising programs and plan-o-gram integrity are followed and signage is correct.
• Rotate foodservice products to keep items fresh and appealing.
• Monitor store activities to ensure proper transactions.
• Respond quickly to emergencies to protect customers and employees.

Summary

Summary: Directly supports the store manager, making sure the store runs efficiently and follows all laws and policies. While also helping to maximize sales and maintain asset control.

3rd Shift Hours

3rd Shift Hours: 10:00pm-6:00am or 11:00pm-7:00am
NOTE: Hours worked during third shift may qualify for additional pay (Shift differential)

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service leadership to all customers.
• Acknowledge/Greet all customers that come into the store.
• Ensure that all company policies are being followed.
• Promote and maintains a clean and organized store appearance inside and out.
• Efficiently process both cash and card transactions with integrity.
• Ensure all merchandising and marketing programs are implemented properly. Including maintaining plan-o-gram integrity and appropriate sign placement.
• Ensure foodservice products are fresh and appealing by rotating products appropriately and removing out-of-date products.
• Monitor store activities to ensure that transactions are taking place in the proper manner
• Respond quickly to all emergencies for the safety and security of customers and employees and notifying the appropriate individuals.

Requirements

• Retail experience / Customer Service Experience Required
• Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Able to frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• Able to stand for an entire shift.
• Ability to periodically handle routine physical task such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures for short periods of time. e.g., in the store, outside, and in the cooler.
• Available to work carious shifts and days of the week as required by the retail environment, including weekends, evenings, and busy periods/holidays.
