Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring for an immediate customer service opening in Plattsburgh, NY. This full-time, in-office role offers comprehensive training and room for growth within a leading medical equipment provider.

Expect Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm with an hourly pay of $18.25. You will handle calls, emails, order processing, insurance verifications, and EMR navigation, contributing to patient care and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company.
• Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner, in adherence to their goals.
• Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
• Answer questions about products and services, retail stores, general service line information and other information as necessary based on customer call needs.
• Process orders, route calls to appropriate resource, and follow up on customer calls where necessary.
• Review all required documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Accurately process, verify, and/or submit documentation and orders.
• Complete insurance verification to determine patients eligibility, coverage, co-insurances, and deductibles.
• Obtain pre-authorization if required by an insurance carrier and process physician orders to insurance carriers for approval and authorization when required.
• Must be able to navigate through multiple online EMR systems to obtain applicable documentation.
• Enter and review all pertinent information in EMR system including authorizations and expiration dates.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plattsburgh, NY.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
