Qualifications

Responsibilities

Patient Services Representative

We are seeking a Patient Services Representative to join a busy outpatient clinic team. This role is responsible for providing an exceptional patient experience through professional patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and front desk support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist incoming patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Register new and existing patients accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Check patients in and out for appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and demographic information.
• Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments.
• Answer incoming phone calls and address patient inquiries.
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Utilize Epic EMR (or similar healthcare systems) on a daily basis.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare front desk experience, including:
  • Patient Registration
  • Medical Reception/Medical Secretary duties
  • Patient Scheduling
  • Healthcare Customer Service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
