Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the friendly face helping customers at our centers. You will assist with rentals, inspect and maintain equipment, and educate customers about services using U-Scan technology.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent, with opportunities for on-the-job training and advancement. This is an on-site position with benefits and regular interviews.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including fluid checks.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
