Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the face of our service and assist customers with rentals, equipment inspections, and product knowledge. You will use U-Scan tech to manage inventory and help customers on-site and in-store.

The role involves basic safety procedures, lifting and moving equipment, and opportunities for on-the-job education and certifications through U-Haul University.

Qualifications

• Provide friendly customer service and assist customers with product and service needs.
• Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Adapt to fast-paced retail environments and use available technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
