Job summary

PLS, located in Houston, seeks a Customer Service Representative to be the friendly face in our check cashing and financial services stores. You will handle transactions, educate customers on products, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering superior service.

The role requires English fluency, flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, and a courteous, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in hospitality, financial services, retail or restaurant preferred.
• Ability to engage with customers and offer products based on their needs.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Providing outstanding customer service to ensure repeat business
• Educating customers on our products and services
• Ensuring all transactions are completed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Following company policies and procedures
• Maintaining a balanced cash drawer
• Completing all transactions accurately, including cash handling
• Using our point-of-sale system to access information and process transactions
• Resolving customer complaints or referring complaints to the Store Manager for resolution
• Helping to maintain a neat and clean store environment for our customers and team members
• Performing other duties as instructed by management
