Job summary

Amcor is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service/Parts Coordinator to coordinate and expedite the flow of orders for machine parts. This role interfaces with customers, Purchasing, Shipping and RE&D to ensure timely delivery, accurate pricing, lead times, and part numbers.

You will support field service and logistics, manage back-orders, and prepare orders and invoices. Ideal candidates have strong communication, solid administrative skills, basic manufacturing knowledge, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Must have considerable communication skills to interact with customers, Purchasing, shipping and receiving.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills to handle a large volume of paper flow and determine priorities.
• Basic knowledge of products and manufacturing processes to communicate effectively with customers and purchasing.
• Basic knowledge of assembly procedures, shipping and inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of computers including Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
• High school diploma or equivalency with emphasis on business and computer subjects desired.
• One to two years of exposure to Amcor office procedures desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receives and enters orders to result in same day shipping if possible.
• Communicates pricing information and necessary lead times to customers.
• Coordinates engineering support for customers with mechanical or electrical problems.
• Provides internal assistance to field service reps in troubleshooting customer machine problems via RE&D Engineering Team.
• Assists shipping with same day delivery arrangements; schedules trucks for straight-shot deliveries.
• Monitors parts inventory levels and reports shortages to Purchasing; runs end-of-day reports.
• Monitors back orders, follows up with purchasing on PO's and instructs purchasing as needed.
• Receives, prepares and invoices all incoming orders.
• Assists customers in locating correct part numbers.
• Schedules trucks for pickups and completes required forms (BOLs) for RE&D.
• Makes shipping arrangements and coordinates truck shipments (TL, LTL, Expedited); coordinates with Corp. Logistics for international shipments.
• Obtains transportation quotes for RE&D departments.
• Provides backup for receptionist duties.
• Monitors customer back-order list against receipts to expedite.
• Creates work orders for assemblies and pull kits; issues purchase orders.
• Performs special projects and reports related to Customer Service.
