Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Amarillo, TX to fulfill orders under supervision and manage customer calls. You will respond to inquiries, enter orders, and place orders by phone, email, or walk-ins, while building relationships for repeat business.

You will assist in pricing, adjust non-contract quotes, and coordinate shipping, inventory, and backorder management, with a focus on accuracy and timely communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–3 years related experience.
• Able to understand customer needs and translate into orders.
• Familiarity with product lines and pricing concepts is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via phone, fax, email, electronic methods, or in person.
• Negotiate sale price and purchase price within set parameters to influence gross profit.
• Adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while protecting profitability.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and suggest process improvements.
• Ensure inventory levels by ordering items as needed for customers.
• Authorize orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventory.
• Determine the most cost-effective shipping method for orders.
• Coordinate with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedite backorders and prepare orders for shipment; handle customer returns.
