Job summary

Motion Industries in Temple, TX is seeking a Customer Service Representative who, under close supervision, fulfills customer orders and manages incoming calls.

You will respond to product inquiries, provide quotes, and process orders by phone, fax, email, or in person, while coordinating with account representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.

Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and 0–3 years of related experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influence gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within allowed parameters (where applicable).
• May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Ensure inventory levels meet customer needs and source products from inventory or suppliers.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods for customer orders and coordinate with accounts reps.
• Expedite backorders and assist with returns as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
