Job summary

Murphy Supply Company is seeking a customer service-focused professional for an office-based role in Cincinnati. You will manage orders, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• More than 3 years of customer service experience.
• Strong phone and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• High attention to detail and accuracy with data entry.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and enter customer orders by phone, email, fax, and Murphy catalog in the ERP system (Acumatica).
• Respond to online quote requests and pricing inquiries with outside sales.
• Verify pricing, product availability, ship dates, and customer account details before release.
• Coordinate with warehouse and delivery on fulfillment, will-calls, backorders, and special handling.
• Process returns, credits, and order adjustments per policy.
• Answer inbound calls and emails with order status, product information, and delivery updates.
• Resolve issues such as shortages, damages, mis-shipments, and billing questions.
• Build relationships with key accounts and be a reliable daily contact.
• Recommend products and substitutions to meet customer needs.
• Assist customers with online catalog setup, login, and ordering questions.
• Coordinate equipment inquiries, parts orders, and service requests for vacuums, scrubbers, and extractors.
• Support outside sales with quotes, follow-up, and account information.
• Work with purchasing on special orders and vendor dropships.
• Assist accounting with account setup, invoice questions, and basic collections follow-up.
• Maintain accurate customer records, contacts, and notes in the system.
