Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to fulfill customer orders and manage incoming calls under close supervision. You will respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and handle order entry across phone, fax, email, or walk-in channels.

You will influence gross profit by negotiating prices, adjust non-contract pricing when needed, and build relationships to drive repeat business while maintaining inventory levels and selecting cost-effective shipping methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time.
• Basic computer skills and use of business systems.
• Product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
• Place orders via phone, fax, email, or walk-in.
• Influence gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer needs while maximizing profit.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Order items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers.
• Place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per PO without approval.
• Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventory.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods for customer orders.
• Partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders and prepares shipments.
• May handle customer returns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
