Job summary

Ohio Department of Public Safety – Bureau of Motor Vehicles/Driver License Suspensions/Special Case Unit in Columbus seeks a Customer Service Manager to lead client support, coordinate information services, and supervise staff in handling complaints and inquiries.

Reporting to Administrative Officer 1, you'll greet inquiries, provide timely accurate responses, and oversee the DLSS/CDL units while ensuring courteous service across courts, attorneys, and the public.

Qualifications

• 12 months training or 12 months experience in departmental operations and programs, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, promote & direct assistance & information services to respond to complaints, inquiries &/or requests for information for variety of clients & supervise assigned staff.
• Greet & respond to in person, telephone &/or written inquiries in a professional, courteous, friendly, respectful & timely manner to ensure positive internal/external customer service.
• Listen carefully to internal/external customer's questions &/or concerns & ask appropriate follow-up questions to verify understanding.
• Provide a complete, knowledgeable, accurate, precise response immediately or provide a firm commitment as to when a response will be provided.
• Direct & coordinate all activities of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), Driver License Suspension Section (DLSS), CDL Unit with respect to suspensions & cancellation of driving & registration privileges.
