Job summary

The State of Missouri's Department of Revenue seeks a Lead Customer Service Representative (MVDL) to serve as a subject matter expert in the Motor Vehicle Bureau and assist staff with day-to-day operations.

The role focuses on guiding staff, resolving highly complex inquiries, and ensuring accurate handling of licensing and vehicle-related matters. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; substitutions may be allowed.
• Comprehensive knowledge of DOR policies, procedures, and operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws, statutes, rules, and regulations.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software used by the area.
• Four+ years experience in licensing, registration, tax-related work, or closely related duties.

Responsibilities

• Research and respond to complex technical questions via email or phone.
• Provide leadership and guidance; distribute workload; inform staff of new laws and procedures.
• Assist in processing complex workflow transactions; support weekly/monthly production and backlog reports.
• Assist with supervision and training within the section as needed.
