Job summary

val's services seeks a hands-on Store Supervisor to lead daily department operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will oversee staffing, training, and compliance with company standards to meet KPIs and drive sales performance.

You will order and manage inventory, supervise a team, coordinate scheduling and payroll, and uphold safety, cleanliness, and product knowledge. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in this role.

Role Overview: This position leads daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring proper staffing, training, and adherence to company standards to meet key performance indicators and goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory, utilizing control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality.
• Review and validate received orders for accuracy, condition, and storage requirements.
• Manage a team to ensure proper stocking, production, and handling of products, including spoilage and damage management.
• Maintain product knowledge, including sales features, coupons, and promotions.
• Communicate and execute weekly flight plans, manage scheduling, labor, and payroll within company guidelines.
• Implement work schedules, safety, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Develop department goals, monitor progress, and participate in meetings at various levels.
• Ensure a clean, attractive, and well-stocked store environment.
• Lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Contribute to achieving company KPIs through strategic planning and execution.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Two years of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and business acumen.
• Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable depending on location.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and conditions typical of retail environments. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
