Job summary

Earth Fare Asheville is seeking a Customer Service Lead (Bookkeeper) to greet customers, handle transactions, and apply store policies with accuracy. You will oversee cash drawers, process payments, and balance the cash office, while assisting customers with product knowledge and promotions.

Qualifications

• Previous cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Earth Fare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, address their needs, and answer questions about products and store policies.
• Efficiently operate the POS system to process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately.
• Apply promotional codes and discounts accurately, and inform customers about ongoing sales and special offers.
• Bag items properly and use environmentally friendly practices.
• Maintain accurate cash drawers and balance transactions at shift end.
• Stay informed about natural and organic products to assist customers.
• Reconcile cash office drawers and prepare daily bank deposits.
• Coach and train cashiers on standard operating procedures.
