Job summary

Earth Fare Asheville is seeking a Customer Service Lead (Bookkeeper) to ensure customers have a helpful and friendly visit while handling transactions, promotions, and daily bookkeeping duties. The role combines cash handling with customer service in a full-time capacity at the Asheville store.

The position requires prior experience with cash handling and customer service; bookkeeping experience is preferred, and Earth Fare familiarity is a plus for effective store support.

Qualifications

• Previous cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Earth Fare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, address their needs, and answer questions about products and store policies.
• Efficiently operate the POS system to process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately.
• Handle various forms of payment including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments.
• Apply promotional codes and discounts accurately, and inform customers about ongoing sales and special offers.
• Ensure items are bagged properly to prevent damage, using environmentally friendly practices.
• Maintain accurate cash drawers, manage cash flow, and ensure all transactions are balanced at the end of each shift.
• Stay informed about the natural and organic products sold in the store to assist customers effectively.
• Reconcile and record cash register drawers and daily balancing of the Cash Office.
