Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our stores by providing excellent customer service and helping customers select merchandise. As a Customer Service Associate you will greet customers, process transactions at the POS, stock shelves, and participate in unloading freight as needed, ensuring a clean and organized shopping environment.

You will contribute to a friendly shopping experience, maintain store standards, and assist with merchandise handling in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environments.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer engagement in positive and approachable manner.
• Assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience.
• Helps in unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transports merchandise from stockroom to sales floor.
• Independently stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store.
• Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system.
• Remains constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
