Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our Stores as we provide essential products at great values to the communities we serve.

As a Big Lots Customer Service Associate you will greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, complete transactions at the POS, and help stock and unload merchandise. You may also recover and organize stock to ensure a safe, clean shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environments.
• Physical: Regularly lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing, walking, bending and lifting.
• Availability: Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized store environment.
• Unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and recovering merchandise as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer questions about store and products.
