Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our stores as we provide essential products at great values to the communities we serve. As a Customer Service Associate you will greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, complete transactions, and answer questions about store operations.

Key responsibilities include maintaining a clean, well-stocked store, unloading trucks, stocking shelves, processing transactions at the POS, and staying aware of safety.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer retail or similar environments.
• Physical requirements: Lift up to 50lbs; stand, walk, bend, and reach.
• Availability: Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Customer service and POS familiarity encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers in a positive and approachable manner.
• Keep store clean and well-stocked for shoppers.
• Assist unloading merchandise and stocking shelves.
• Stock shelves independently and recover merchandise.
• Handle customer funds and process POS transactions.
• Maintain awareness of customer activity for safety.
• Perform other duties to support store operations.
