Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Associate Account Manager to proactively maintain and retain relationships with existing customers in the waste services sector. The role focuses on smaller, less complex accounts and growing penetration by selling the full product suite.

Responsibilities include daily outreach, knowledge of services and pricing, contract renewals, and close collaboration with the Sales Manager to track progress and retention results. Strong customer service experience is required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of customer service experience
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Preferred: waste or transportation industry experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain and retain existing customers by proactive daily outreach
• Develop knowledge of services, pricing, and offers to assigned customers
• Perform recontracts to extend relationships and profitability where appropriate
• Respond to cancellations per escalation policy
• Communicate pricing initiatives to customers
• Use Salesforce daily to schedule and document activities
• Capture customer emails and manage credits and rate considerations
• Increase customer penetration by selling the full Republic Services product suite
• Meet with Sales Manager weekly to review retention activities and progress
