Job summary

Kirkland's is seeking a Sales Leader to drive in-store and online selling, lead a team, and uphold brand standards at our California location. You will model customer-focused behavior, train staff, and ensure accurate merchandising and POS operations while delivering strong sales results.

The role requires at least 1 year of retail management experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; college preferred.
• Minimum 1 year management experience in a retail or service industry preferred.
• Strong communications skills and customer selling experience required.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be able to stand and move around the store for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Leads, supports and values customer selling in in-store and online shopping experiences.
• Fosters a customer-obsessed culture prioritizing greetings, re-engagements, education, add-ons and thanks.
• Understanding role in sales growth and store profitability.
• Reads customer cues to create exceptional in-store experiences.
• Educates customers on loyalty programs, promotions and merchandise to build baskets.
• Acts as brand ambassador, maintaining respectful, professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Leads by example and enforces company policies and procedures.
• Executes Manager on Duty responsibilities including opening/closing procedures and team supervision.
• Manages freight, stockroom organization, and merchandise presentation per directives.
